Florence Photo Diary

August 06, 2015

So I've just returned from the most glorious week in Florence and despite the horrendous journey home (the details of which I will not bore you with), I'm still smiling with the memories of the occasion I was just a part of.
My brother-in-law and his beautiful partner decided to declare their love to the world in the most magnificent of settings and so we found ourselves in Florence, Italy for the week.
The sun shone brightly every day, pizza and pasta were consumed in copious amounts and good times were had by all.
As this was also our summer holiday, we really tried to see as many of the sights of Florence as we could. From the Piazza del Duomo to the luscious Boboli Gardens, every day brought a new adventure. Our horse drawn carriage ride around the city centre was certainly a highlight and the 'Human' exhibition at the Forte Di Belvedere made for a fantastic afternoon.
Of course the main event was the wedding. And what a wedding it was! A castle in the Tuscan hills, champagne in the evening sun, fireworks and dancing into the early hours... it was simply incredible.
I took so many pictures, more than I could possibly include in this blog post, but still just wanted to share some of my favourites... enjoy!

Something about this structure at the exhibition resonated... we all want to do this sometimes i'm sure!

Wedding vibes

Congratulations to the happy couple!
I do love Italy and have visited other parts, such as Lake Garda, Verona and Venice; however I think Florence is the most beautiful part of Italy I have been to. It is certainly very romantic. So much so that the hubby and I have already decided that we will be making a trip back sans children!
There's also something about being in beautiful surroundings which really inspires creativity. I've come home full of blog post ideas so I guess you will be hearing from me very soon.

Much love,

Ekaete xx
